Manatee County Fair

The Manatee County fair is a wholesome community tradition. Packed with an endless variety of things to see, do and eat, the fair truly has something for everyone.

The eleven day Manatee County Fair is held each January at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto, Florida.The City of Palmetto is located in Manatee County on the northern banks of the Manatee River and is approximately 40 miles south of Tampa, and 15 miles north of Sarasota with convenient access to Interstate 75 from S.R. 64 and S.R. 70 in Bradenton and Interstate 275 from U.S. 41 and U.S. 301 in Parrish.

Sarasota Bradenton Home Show

At the Home Show, our goal is simple: to inspiremotivate and excite you for your upcoming home improvement – whether it’s a minor renovation or a major remodel.

Our events feature a wide selection of home improvement professionals in a fun, interactive environment. After meeting with and comparing our expert exhibitors, we know you’ll be inspired and motivated to start planning with confidence. More importantly, we want you to be excited for all the fantastic possibilities that come with your project!

When it’s all said and done and you’re ready to celebrate your home, we’ll do a little celebrating ourselves, knowing we had some part in it.

Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival

Come share in the festivities of the 4th Annual Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival on January 18-20, 2019 on Gulf Stream near JD Hamel Park in downtown Sarasota.  Bring family and friends to enjoy fresh seafood and outstanding live musical performances.  The event begins Friday night January 18 with festivities running 4pm – 10pm. The event continues Saturday from 11am – 10pm and Sunday 11am – 6pm.   General admission is FREE!  VIP Tent admission is $75 that includes an open bar serving premium drinks, tented seating area with linens on the tables and a dedicated service staff, all with optimal viewing of the live onstage musical performances.

 

This event will offer a variety of seafood items, cooked fresh on site, using only the freshest local and sustainable ocean resources from the Florida Gulf Coast. Meat and vegetarian offerings, a diverse menu of side dishes and of course – some tantalizing dessert – are all on the menus!  Alcoholic, non-alcoholic and fruit drinks are offered.

While savoring your meal, relax to some of Florida’s top musical groups from genres such as R&B, blues, jazz, rock and Caribbean sounds. Performers on Friday night are:  Freecoasters (reggae, soul), Twinkle & Rock Soul Radio (rock, soul) and the US Stones (Rolling Stones Tribute Band).  Performers on Saturday are:  Kettle of Fish (rock), CeCe Teneal & Soul Kamotion (blues, soul, roots), Reverend Barry & The Funk (funk, soul), The Bob Marley Tribute Band featuring Yvad, former lead singer of the Wailers(reggae) and Endless Summer (Beach Boys Tribute Band).  Sunday performers are:  Sarasota Steel Pan Band (calypso, reggae, Latin, Brazilian), Big Night Out (Latin funk, Motown, R&B dance music), Billy Rice Band (country rock), and the Caribbean Chillers(Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band).

Moon Over Myakka Concert Series

It’s the Moon Over Myakka Concert Series 2019 at the South Pavilion with Reverend Barry & The Funk. 7 p.m. Bring a chair and a picnic! Cost: $20 per person ($15 for Friends members). Park entrance fee waived for concert if you arrive after 5 p.m.

Taste of St. Armands

St. Armands Circle Association, Wagner Realty, Tervis and Second and Seed present the 9th annual Taste of St. Armands! St. Armands Circle is renown not only for its upscale boutiques, galleries and fine shops, but also for its award winning restaurants. We proudly showcase our outstanding St. Armands Circle restaurants as they share a sampling of some of their delicious recipes. The variety is as wide as the world we live in – from continental cuisine to seafood, Italian to Irish, Spanish to Cuban and a little taste of Floribian thrown in for good measure. A taste to please every palate! Over 17 restaurants are participating in the beautiful setting of St. Armands Circle Park, along with noteworthy wineries and microbreweries or maybe you’d like to try this year’s Taste of St. Armands specialty drink. Musical sounds will fill the air and set the mood for an evening of fine food, libations and perhaps…a little dancing. There will be a Silent Auction and fundraising activities to benefit Satchels Last Resort Animal Shelter/Sanctuary and St. Armands Circle Association. Please keep in mind, no pets will be admitted into the event area. St. Armands Circle Park is the perfect setting, for a night of great food, great wine, and the sounds of beautiful music!

General admission tickets, which include all food and drinks, are available for purchase in advance of the event for $75 and for $85 at the door, the day of the event.
